Although I told you that there is a day between the arrival of the Nimitz and the arrival of T'Brant and Aragorn, both timelines have met. So this leaves us with a problem. And problems have to be dealt with, so here goes. Until the rest of the crew of the Nimitz are on the same timeline as T'Brant and Aragorn, I will freeze all posts from the Spectre time-line until you all have reached 16:00 the next day. So, I'm sorry, Liz and Roy, but the meeting between T'Brant and Susan cannot continue until the rest of the crew are on the same level, which is around 20:00 the next day. This also means that I will not send in a post as Aragorn until that time! In the meantime you will have to stick to Woldan, for what it's worth. Ok? Oh yeah, Warren? When you write about an NRPC, you are still meant to put your own name under it. Ok? Loved it, By the way. RPG: ------------------------------------------------------------------ (Starbase 968, Commodore's quarters, R. Adm. Woldan, 16:00) Andrews was seething. "Rank, Admiral, is irrelevant, what is relevant is that I am the local sector commander, therefore I outrank you in terms of position. Now, sit down and listen to what I have to say. Starfleet has decided to recall you to Sector 001 and SFHQ. They wish you to take up an Administrative position in Fleet Ops. You have one week to make the journey, I suggest you get your gear off the Nimitz and make a start. The Nimitz will receive her new CO in the next day or so, so your services there are no longer required." "Any questions ? No, then you are dismissed..Admiral" Woldan slumped back. ~So this is it...no longer required, am I? ... Dismissed? ... I think not!" Woldan got up, his eyes suddenly filled with a blazing fire. "For your information, SECTOR COMMANDER, this doesn't surprise me one bit! From the first time I met your glorious Admiral Gidley, when he tried to win me for Starfleet, I have been lied at!..Ridiculed!..Marrooned! They used me! I was asked to get my Maquis Comrades to enter Starfleet service..So I did. I gave you the best of them! Ask Kaelyn who has instructed her! Who kept her out of trouble! Ask any of them who had kept them alive in the battle against the Cardassians while Starfleet was sitting on their fat backsides, doing nothing! But then you asked me to teach your students! So I did! My Cadets always were the best! There wasn't a single one of them you wouldn't die for to get your hands on them! And then they asked me to share my tactical knowledge! So I did, thinking that is was all for the best! They turned me inside out, SECTOR COMMANDER! Reduced me until I was nothing more then a isolinear chip, to be used in your precious computer systems, keeping hundreds of your precious crew alive with MY knowledge. But then I was of no use to you anymore, was I!? So Starfleet SPAT me out and send me over to a worthless piece of rock in the middle of nowhere, probably hoping I would die outthere of boredom! But I didn't! I survived! And when I finally woke up and started thinking again, and much worse started flying again, Starfleet must have felt disappointed! NO, I am not surpised, Sector Commander!" The Admiral breathed heavily. "But you can relax. I will go to Earth. But not as pencilpusher. They will tell me IN MY FACE why they have mistreated my so! Goodday, SECTOR COMMANDER!" Woldan burst out of Andrews office, knocking over a few people who were unfortunate enough to stand in his way. (Starbase 968, Woldan's office, Adm. Woldan, 16:30) Woldan had cooled off a bit. He had read some reports, waiting for him as he considered what he would do next. He just wasn't content with leaving so soon. He wanted to talk to Kaelyn before he left, to warn her about Starfleet. To tell her that she was right all along. But mostly because he wanted to see her a last time. Woldan sighed and read another report. It was a report from Troi about that Baranna character. When he had read it, he opened a link to the Nimitz. "Woldan to Troi. Counselor, I have just read your report. Do you think that Baranna is innocent?" =^= Yes, sir. It appears that the Ensign was only protecting himself. But I haven't ended my investigation yet. =^= "When will you have done so?" =^= I think it will be ready, tomorrowmorning at eight, Sir.=^= "Good, if it confirms, then I want you to release Ensign Baranna at once. Good work, Mr. Troi....Oh, and another thing, Ensign, I have been ordered off the Nimitz. I would be obliged if you would pack my personal belongings and send them over to the Starbase. It seems that your new CO will arrive soon. Thank you. Woldan out." When the screen went black, Woldan sighed, and went over to his cabinet. He opened it and got a bottle and a glass out. He poured himself a drink and swallowed it in one gulp. ------------------------------------------------------------------ (USS Nimitz - Counselor's Office - Couns - Ensign Kestra Troi - 1630) "....Oh, and another thing, Ensign, I have been ordered off the Nimitz. I would be obliged if you would pack my personal belongings and send them over to the Starbase. It seems that your new CO will arrive soon. Thank you. Woldan out." "Yes Sir, will be happy to do so." she replied ~ordered off the Nimitz? Now I wonder what is that all about.~ She finished out her report saying that De Segura had started the fight in 10 forward but that she had felt something wrong in him. There had been an incident with a borg and the trauma of that was still on him. So, in her conclusion, neither were really at fault, but, Lt. De Segura needed special help to recover from the borg incident. She sent the report to Admiral Woldan and the close out her computer. (USS Nimitz - CO's Quarters - Couns - Ensign Kestra Troi - 1635) Kestra entered what had been Admiral Woldan's quarters, and started looking around deciding where to start. "Computer I need two suitcases medium size" she said <> Two medium suitcases appeared and she opened the first one. She started putting everything that did not seem to be part of the room into the cases. As she did so, she started getting more of an idea of what this man named Woldan Kyt really was. She saw things that gave her the idea that he was a highly intelligent, highly sensitive man that kept a lot to himself. She saw things that showed that he saved people in battles and that many people benefited from his training in strategy and tactics. ~Why aren't they giving him his own ship? He is a valuable asset to Starfleet that is being wasted. I don't understand the rational if there is such a thing.~ she thought to herself Finishing putting his things into the bags. +com+ "Ensign Kestra Troi to Security, please send someone to the CO's Quarters immediately, Troi out." she said. After a few minutes, the chime sounded and she told whoever was there to come in. She turned to see a security person come in. "Ensign Rakeem from security reporting as ordered Sir, what can I do for you?" he said without any inflection in his voice. Kestra looked at him and noticed that she had never seen this ensign before, but then again she has not seen everyone on board yet. "Please take these bags and make sure you hand these to Admiral Woldan in his quarters on the Starbase immediately and thanks for getting here so quickly." She said "Yes sir" he replied picking up the baggage and heading out the door. After he left she made one last quick look over to make sure she did not miss anything, then she left and went back to her quarters. (reply by Woldan, any) (posted by Frank Rogers) ------------------------------------------------------------------ (USS Nimitz, Main Engineering - CEO Ensign (Jg) Aldo Meecham, 17:30) "Ensign Deacon Reporting for Duty Sir!" Meecham smiled and shook hands with his new assistant. "Welcome to the Nimitz Mr. Deacon. Come, let's go to my office and we'll discuss the current situation." Meecham led Deacon across Engineering to the CEO's Office. "We'll share this room until we can sort something out for you. Currently, after two days in post, Engineering is operating at full capacity, with no problems. The only outstanding event in the log is a request that the EMH be fitted with a mobile holo projector, linked into the main database so the EMH can move around the ship at will. This will be your first task. Meecham paused to let that sink in then continued.... "Secondly, we have four senior enlisted Chiefs...Whiffen, Sell, Hall and Segersen, each one heads up a shift of Engineers, get to know them, their habits and like me, learn everything they show you. I think that's everything. Although you will be my assistant, I look upon this department as ours, and our roles as a partnership. Any questions ?" (Reply from Deacon, Any) (Posted by John Court) ------------------------------------------------------------------ (USS Nimitz, Main Engineering - ACEO Ensign Deacon, 17:35) "I think that's everything," Ensign Meecham finished. "Although you will be my assistant, I look upon this department as ours, and our roles as a partnership. Any questions ?" "Not at this time, sir," Jim replied. The CEO pushed a mobile emitter across the desk to Jim. "Dismissed," he said, and Jim left the office. (USS Nimitz, Sick Bay - ACEO Ensign Deacon, 17:45) Jim marched into sick bay. After he did so, he slowed down. ~ Here I am storming around, people are going to think I am either super intense or the ship is falling apart. ~ Jim made himself slow down, then look around. He saw an officer resting on one of the beds. ~ Already an injury! This job may be more dangerous than it looks ~ Looking into the doctors office, he grinned and walked over to Ensign Spectre. "Doctor Spectre, I presume," Jim said smiling, and shook the doctor's hand. "I guess I was right about serving on the same ship! So what has been going on since last time I saw you, which was, what, a few days ago?" Ensign Spectre gave him a rundown of his last few days, and when he asked what Jim was doing in sick bay, he replied "I'm giving the EMH a mobile emitter. Never hurts to have an extra pair of hands helping with the medical emergencies, huh? Mind if I activate it?" "Not at all," Ensign Spectre replied. Jim walked back into the main portion of sick bay and said "Computer, activate the EMH program." The EMH doctor materialized, immediately asking "Please state the nature of the medical emergency." "There is none," at which the doctor gave him a dirty look "but today is your lucky day," Jim finished quickly. "I am here to equip you with a mobile emitter." "Oh, how nice," the doctor replied. "This way, when I am activated and people forget to turn me off, I can wander the ship, take in some sights." "Sounds wonderful," Jim mumbled. "Now hold still. This won't hurt a bit," he said as he attached the emitter to the doctors arm. The doctor flickered ever so slightly, then stabilized. "What was that?" he asked, alarmed. "Don't worry, it is a normal reaction when first attaching an emitter to a new hologram." Jim opened the tricorder that was hanging on his belt and scanned the emitter. After analyzing the readings, he made some adjustments to the emitter. Satisfied, he said "Alright doctor, please step out of sick bay and into the hall." The doctor looked at him suspiciously. "And what if this doesn't work." Jim just smiled. "Trust me." The doctor did not seem confident with this answer, but slowly stepped outside sick bay. Jim stayed right with him, tricorder in hand, reading the settings. When the doctor did not disappear, he let out a short laugh. Still reading the tricorder, Jim told the doctor to walk a few meters from the door to make sure the emitter was working fine. The doctor did so, and he remained intact. "Outstanding," Jim said, and motioned for the doctor to re-enter sick bay. After doing so, the doctor removed the mobile emitter and placed in on Ensign Spectre's desk. "It will be here if you need it," he said. "Thank you for your time doctor. Computer, deactivate the EMH program." The doctor faded out. "Back to engineering. See you later, doctor," Jim said, waving to Ensign Spectre, then left. Woldan, 18:05) The man sitting beside Marc Rivers looked puzzled. "Dammit, Marc - she's your sister." Without taking his eyes from Susan's, Marc replied "I *have* no sister, Ben. And if I had, she'd be a Maquis, not a traitor in " and he put all the contempt he could into the word "Starfleet." Susan suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder. "Don't try it, Ensign. He is right." Looking over her shoulder she was startled to see the Admiral standing behind him. "Sir," she started but saw how the Admiral shifted his gaze to the standing Maquis. "Marc Rivers, if I am correct." the Admiral said. "Will you accept a drink from the man who has been fighting the Cardies alongside your father?" (Reply by Andrews, Troi, Rivers, any) (Posted by Adrie Geuken ------------------------------------------------------------------ (Starbase 968, Berlikon Bar, Ensign(jg) Susan Rivers, 18:05) "Don't try it, Ensign. He is right." Looking over her shoulder, Susan was startled to see the Admiral standing behind her. ~WHAT!!!~ "Sir," she started, but saw how Woldan shifted his gaze to her brother. "Marc Rivers, if I am correct," the Admiral said. "Will you accept a drink from the man who has been fighting the Cardies alongside your father?" Marc transferred his gaze from Susan to the older man behind her. "The man who fought beside my father was not wearing a Starfleet uniform. Starfleet " and again his voice was heavy with contempt, "stood by and watched us die rather than stand up and fight against tyranny and injustice." "Don't be an idiot, Marc! This man fought with Dad and the others, right up until the end. Don't you recognise him? This is Woldan Kyt. The uniform he's wearing doesn't change who he is, any more than it changes who *I* am!" "And who are you, Susan? Because you're not my sister as long as you're wearing that uniform. The way I see it, you have a choice to make. You can have your family, or you can have Starfleet. But not both." "I made that choice when I joined the Academy," she said quietly. "Nothing I've seen or heard since has changed my mind. And obviously nothing will change yours. Now, if you'll excuse me, Admiral, gentlemen, I have business elsewhere." And she bowed slightly and walked out of the bar Once out of sight she leant against the wall, shaking. ~I won't give in! Not here!~ Not until she felt she had herself under control once more did she return to the Nimitz. What did he have to be afraid of? Of course he reasoned he hadnt allowed much time for socializing in the past, he always had other priorities, so this was all very new to him. He sighed, to make matters worse she could read his mind-argh. Oh well it was too late to turn back now, he reached out and pushed the door chime, Counselor, Ensign Daynarian here. The door opened, and every thought in Daynarians head fled, she was wearing a casual evening dress in blue, after a second he realized with much embarrasement that his mouth was hanging open, he closed it and stammered "Um good evening Kestra, you look lovely this evening, I ah thought we might have dinner at that Ferengi Place on the starbase I have been hearing so much about." ------------------------------------------------------------------ (USS Nimitz - Counselor's Quarters - Couns - Ensign Kestra Troi - 1845) ~At least he is right on time~ Kestra thought As Kestra was walking toward the door, she stopped to look at herself in the mirror. She stood there looking at herself wondering if what she wore was appropriate for their dinner. He had not told her where they were going for dinner, but, she did want to make a good inpression on him. She could not wait any longer, she walked to the door and opened it. She saw a handsome young man waiting at the door for her. He looked even more dashing out of uniform. She stood in the doorway waiting for him to regain his composure and close his mouth. He soon said, "um, good evening Kestra, you look lovely this evening. I, ah, thought we might have dinner at that Ferengi place on the Starbase I have been hearing so much about." She smiled at him ~it is nice to see that he recovers fast~ and said, "That would be nice Alairn" They engaged in idle chatter as they walked to the turbolift. When they entered the turbolift Alairn gave the order for the deck that would take them to the starbase. After they entered the starbase, they headed for the promenade where the Ferengi place was. "Subhadar Roga Danar, Sir" "Could you repeat that, please" he asked. "Subhadar Roga Danar, Third assault platoon serving under Hadarmar Hoy Grann, Sir" Baranna legs seemed to go, Tobias rushed forward, grabbed him and prevented his fall. ~ Obviously he's experiencing some kind of vivid dream. It didn't saw he was a sleep walker. I shouldn't do this but ....~ " Hello ... HELLO!!" he shouted into Baranna's ear. A hand grabbed Tobias's throat and lifted him off the floor. ~ I really shouldn't of done that ~ he thought panicking. As quickly as it started he was dropped. Breathing heavily he retreated to the corner. "Who the h**l you are? Why you are in my cell? Are you nuts? Who authorized this?" Tobias was horrified, he realised he almost died there. He coughed a bit before replying. "Well, I am Ensign Tobias Spectre. I am the new ACMO. No. Authorized what? and was there something more?" "I am tired Ensign Spectre. Today I have writed the transfer papers for all the pirates we brought back. I have been a target for a table knife. I was sure that I killed a superior officer. I was thrown into the wall by the forcefield and I will spent the night and possible the following days here. So if you are not leaving my current quarters I will ask you to be silent." "Uh, yes. Sounds good" Baranna returned to the bunk and closed his eyes. Sleep caught him instantly. Tobias did not move for a while, he tried to stop his heart beating so loudly, fearing it would wake Baranna up. ~ The man's a psycho !!~ he thought, quietly to himself. He tried to calm down, taking deep breaths. " Stop it Tobias," he whispered, "Don't judge him till you know him". He never liked other people judging him just by the way he looked. He should never jump to conclusions until he has all the facts. "And I know just the way to do it as well", he smiled to himself. # Time Passes # It had not taken him long to see to Baranna's wounds. He tended them carefully not wanting to wake him. Then again the sedative he gave him, made sure he wouldn't. He hoped it would give him a decent night's sleep. " No more nightmares for you, " he said to the sleeping form. He checked the other results he had taken, " not if I have anything to say about it." He motioned for the guard to release him. As he stepped out of the cell he waved goodbye to Barenna, "Pleasant Dreams" he said. She peered down at the figures moving below. If she had any knowledge of Starfleet protocol she would see the guards changing shift duty. She had no concept of a lot of things, she was pure instinct. All she had was her senses. What they told her was that most things here were wrong. Not the things that moved about the most, just the ones behind the humming light. All the things had a wrongness about them. Not that she paid them much attention. She had a goal, a sweet smell to find, but she was tired so she rested. She curled round in her place, high up in the ceiling. Closed her eyes and dreamt of her Beloved.
